We had a wonderful stay at the Belvedere, the accommodation is clean and tastefully styled. It has all the facilities you might need and Teresa, the host, provides some lovely personal touches which were much appreciated. We explored the area – Wivenhoe (just up river from Brightlingsea) has a very pretty quay and a pub for a shandy or two! We visited Dedham (where the crafts place does a mean cup of tea and cake) and did the whole Constable country/Flatford Mill thing. We also popped over the border into Suffolk for a trip to Lavenham. That was beautiful and the National Trust tea shop was a delight. Overall 5/5!!!
